Independent review of the Prescribing Safety Assessment published
1.07.19
An independent review of the Prescribing Safety Assessment, undertaken by Professor John McLachlan, has been published today. It confirms that the PSA will "undoubtedly contribute to patient safety" and is the product of a high-quality process.
For more on the independent review, and to see the review itself, visit the British Pharmacological Society website.
Today also sees The Lancet publish the paper "Improving medication safety: focus on prescribers and systems" by professors Simon Maxwell and David Webb. This forms an excellent overview of the need for improved prescribing of medications and how the Prescribing Safety Assessment meets this challenge.
