The Medical Schools Council is proud to be working with the Wellcome Trust in the mission to improve support for the UK's clinical academics, who form such a vital role in our universities and healthcare institutions.
Drawing from the expertise of key organisations in the sector, the Wellcome Trust has published UK clinical academic training in medicine and dentistry: principles and obligations. This sets out what is expected from those responsible for clinical training, trainees and funders.
Providing clarity around contractual arrangements, including matters such as family and care-related leave, is something which the Medical Schools Council fully supports.
