MSC's response to the recent riots

The Medical Schools Council unequivocally condemns the violence, racism, islamophobia, and general intolerance that has been seen in across the UK in recent days.
MSC’s primary function is to represent and support the collective interests of the UK’s medical schools, and it is proud of the diversity both across and within member institutions. MSC is in constant contact with its members and will continue working with them to ensure that students and staff are supported through this worrying time.
MSC is aware that that schools are getting in touch with students to ensure that they know where they can go to access support, how to report discrimination and harassment and whom to contact should they feel unsafe. MSC supports this response from schools and is here to assist them in these efforts.
MSC is actively monitoring the situation and stands ready to support its members as required.
