Consultant Clinical Academic in Rheumatology  REF: ATR1425

£76,761 to £103,490 per annum pro rata 

This new post offers a joint appointment as a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Rheumatology at the University of East Anglia (where a substantive appointment will be held) and as an Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist at Ipswich Hospital, part of the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (where a corresponding honorary contract will be held).

 This role is full-time and indefinite, with duties to be split equally between academic duties in the Medical School and to clinical responsibilities in East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust (ESNEFT).

This post has been created as a new joint appointment between the Trust and UEA to support the clinical department in meeting 18-week access targets, follow up requirements from the CCG regarding biologic drugs and best practice for early inflammatory arthritis, and improve the academic links between the Trust and UEA.

It is available immediately on an indefinite basis, at the earliest mutually agreeable date. This is advertised as a 10PA full time post, but part-time requests will also be considered.

You will have full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice (or eligibility) and an MRCP (UK) or equivalent qualification. You should have an MD/PhD or be near to attaining the award, and have specialist accreditation or be within 6 months of attaining CCT.

This post will be subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
