Clinical Research Fellow in Elective Orthopaedics
University of Leeds
Are you medically qualified and ambitious with an interest in research and Osteoarthritis? Do you have experience of working in Orthopaedics? Do you want to further your career by undertaking a PhD in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?
You will support and undertake research in sensor technology in elective orthopaedics. Your research will focus on the mechanistic and translational element i.e. developing and validating in vivo sensors, using wearable sensors to track patients remotely and conduct a randomised trial to assess its efficacy. You will lead your own studies in this area, including methods development and clinical studies and contribute to the work of the research group as a whole.
During your employment you will also work towards a PhD at the University of Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity if you are a Trauma and Orthopaedics trainee, especially if you are aiming to sub specialise in limb reconstruction or pursue an academic career. You will be medically qualified with MRCS or equivalent and full GMC registration.
