Clinical Assistant Professor (Clinical Lecturer) - multiple specialities

Applications are invited from medically-qualified doctors who seek integrated academic and clinical training for a clinical academic career. This post is available in competition between applications from: 

  1. NTN holders in Medical Oncology or Obstetrics & Gynaecology, for research in Ovarian Cancer
  2. NTN holders in Paediatrics, for research in Paediatrics or Neonatal Medicine
  3. NTN holders in Dermatology, for research in Dermatology
  4. NTN holders in Clinical Radiology or Neurosurgery, for research in Medical Imaging
  5. NTN holders in Sport & Exercise Medicine, for research in Sport & Exercise Medicine
  6. NTN holders in General Surgery, for research in Gastrointestinal Surgery

Interviews will be held on 27th September 2024. 

The post will be offered on a fixed term contract for a period of up to 4 years (if full-time; up to a maximum of 6 years part-time, pro-rata) or until award of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), whichever is the shorter. Hours of work are full time (38.5 hours per week) or part time (minimum 23.1 hours per week). Successful applicants must be in post before 1st December 2024.  

The successful candidate in this Clinical Lectureship will work with internationally acclaimed research groups in the University of Nottingham’s School of Medicine, in which you will be trained in the latest state of the art techniques to improve health and well-being. You will be supported to develop an individual innovative and novel research programme leading to peer reviewed publications and research funding applications.
