164483 Clinical Lecturer in CVM

Applications are invited for the above posts in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine within the Radcliffe Department of Medicine (RDM) at the John Radcliffe Hospital. The appointees will join RDM, a large multi-disciplinary department with research interests that span the translational spectrum, from basic biological research through to clinical application. The key duties of the Clinical Lecturers will be to take part in the teaching of Cardiology to medical students, engage in research and contribute towards the clinical work of the Department under the direction of the Head of Department.

Candidates should possess a medical qualification registered with the United Kingdom, MRCP or equivalent and GMC registration, and evidence of strong and demonstrable commitment to the organisation and delivery of teaching. A proven strong research track record and proven experience at SpR level (ST3 & above) in general Cardiology, either through a SpR appointment or through similarly recognised accredited training posts are requisites for the posts.

The posts will provide higher specialist training and research experience in an area of relevance. The post is available to applicants who will be able to gain a CCT in Cardiology during the tenure of the post. The appointment is full-time and will be for 6 years with a formal review after a probationary period of two years.
